Desert Safari: From Agadir to the Dunes of Erg Chegaga
Embark on a Moroccan adventure with our two-day safari from Agadir to the majestic dunes of Erg Chegaga. This journey takes you through historic cities, saffron valleys, and breathtaking desert landscapes, offering a perfect blend of history, culture, and nature.
Day 1: From Agadir to Erg Chegaga via Taroudant and Taliouine
Early departure from your hotel in Agadir towards Taroudant. Enjoy the charming ramparts of this city known as “Little Marrakech.” Then, head to Taliouine, the heart of saffron production in Morocco, where you will discover local cooperatives. After lunch in Tazenakht, we will reach Foum Zguid, the gateway to the desert. The road then transforms into a dazzling desert landscape leading to Erg Chegaga. Relax with a camel ride at sunset in the dunes before enjoying a Moroccan tajine under the stars. Spend the night comfortably in the bivouac tents.
Day 2: Return to Agadir via Lake Iriqui and Taliouine
Wake up to a sublime sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, we will take the 4×4 road through Lake Iriqui to Foum Zguid for tea. We will continue to Tazenakht and Taliouine for lunch. The day concludes with the return to Agadir in the late afternoon.
